26 Spencer way
I am a fair, outgoing person who thrives in positive environments.
I have a natural ability to see fine detail in all that I do and an ambition to succeed in challenges that are set by both myself and others.
I am drawn to effective leadership in the workplace and in my hobbies where I utilize the people skills that I have developed to coach and mentor others.
I have trained and operated as a Carpenter, Supervisor & Site Manager for over 23 years, organizing and leading on many different types of projects within my own company or on behalf of others. I have successfully directed & organised multi-skilled labour on site, managed & ordered materials, organised site facilities and conducted inspections & site meetings.
During my career I have developed my Leadership skills, and style in coaching and mentoring so that skilled personnel can effectively deliver against my instructions and objectives.
I started my career as a trainee Carpenter working with my father where I learned on the job under his guidance. I successfully obtained my NVQs & then took the step to become self-employed. I worked for Harrison & Wilden Carpentry sub-contractor with various building companies across East Anglia, I also worked for Haymills, Tendring construction & Carters. I have experience working with small building companies such as Rose Builders, GI Hutten’s & Hobbins Timberworks & I set up my own company specializing in timber frame & restoration projects in 2019.
I have developed a balanced positive approach that seeks alternative views to problem solving before concluding on challenges that presents themselves, I believe that communication & understanding are key to success.
I am very proud that I successfully completed my NVQ Level 6 award in Construction Management.
Over the many years of working in construction I have developed my skills to work as an active team member & as a focused individual, I am self-motivated to deliver for my Customers.
